Dong Yunmei, male, born in 1936, academician of Chinese Academy of Science, fellow of Institute of Software Research in Chinese Academy of Science, doctoral supervisor. Computer software expert and one of the earliest scholars to study computer software in China. His research interests include software theory, software technology, software tools as well as Chinese character information processing, etc. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics in Jilin University in 1956 and worked in Institute of Computing Technology in Chinese Academy of Science in the same year. He studied in Stanford University in 1978 and became a fellow in Chinese Academy of Science in 1983 and doctoral supervisor in 1984. He worked in Institute of Software in Chinese Academy of Science in 1985. In 1990, he was awarded the title of "Excellent supervisor of Chinese Academy of Science" and in 1993, he was nominated as the academician of Chinese Academy of Science. He served as director of Academic Committee and Degree Evaluation Committee in Institute of Software in Chinese Academy of Science, first director of Open Laboratory (later known as Key Laboratory) of Computer Science and director of the Academic Committee. Received the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Academy of Science and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. Served as member of the Subject Appraisement Group of the Degree Evaluation Committee of the National State Department and the editor in chief of "Computer Science". In June 2005, he was employed as a professor of Jilin University.
Developed the earliest practical high-level programming language BCY in the country from early 1960's to mid 1960's, and implemented the corresponding compiler and other system software on multiple computers such as the 199 machine, which has been greatly influential for a long time. Solved the same problem in formal grammar, syntax checking and testing procedures before some well-known work from the 1960's to the early 1970's. Proposed the parameterized graphic methodology of using computer to design high-quality Chinese characters and solved the relevant enabling technologies in 1979. Firstly proposed the methodology and implementation techniques of using computer to design high-quality Chinese characters in the early 1980's. Initiated the software reuse technology in the mid 1980's. Studied the acquisition and reuse of formal specification and proposed reuse based grammatical inference algorithm as well as a novel recursive function theory (context-free language recursive function CFRF) since the 1990's. He is studying the methodology of software specification and design at present.
Liu Dayou, male, born in 1942. He was promoted to professor of Jilin University in 1990, and qualified as doctoral supervisor by Academic Degree Commission of the State Council in 1993. He is a member of Academic Degrees Committee in Jilin University, and director of Academic Degrees Committee in Information Science Department. He is also a member of the Reviewing Expertise Group of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), council chairman of Computer Federation of Jilin Province, standing director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, vice director of the Committee of Knowledge Engineering and Distributed Intelligence, vice director of the Committee of Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition of the China Computer Federation, editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Computers, Journal of Computer Research and Development. He has been appointed to be member of Subject Assessing Group of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council in 1997-2008.
He has accomplished over 50 national, provincial and ministerial projects, published 8 monographs and over 490 papers. His papers have been indexed by SCI and EI over 280 times. He had won 2 prizes of the national scientific and technological progress award, 9 prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award. He has made systematic creative achievements in such fields as uncertainty reasoning, expert system, distributed artificial intelligence, agent, spatio-temporal reasoning and data mining, opened up a new direction of agricultural knowledge, improved the level of intelligent reasoning, intelligent systems and other aspects of research and application in the country.
He was awarded one second prize of National Outstanding Teaching Achievements, two first prizes of Jilin Province Outstanding Teaching Achievements, second prize of the excellent teaching materials of Ministry of Education, and National Excellent Course. The teaching team headed by him has been honored as “data structure and discrete mathematics” national teaching team.
He was awarded the State Council special grant, model worker of the Changchun city, outstanding middle-age and young profession of the Jilin province, one of the first and second batch excellent specialists of the Jilin Province. He was awarded the Top Ten Science Talent Awards and one of the first and second batch senior specialists in Jilin Province.
Zhou Chunguang, male, born in 1947, Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor. He is Jilin province outstanding expert, senior expert of Jilin Province, One hundred Science and Technology elite of Changchun. And he is awarded the State Council governmental grant. He has academic roles in many national and international academic organizations. His research interests include theories, models and algorithms of artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, and applications of computational intelligence in machine gustation and olfaction, image processing, business intelligence, modern logistics, bioinformatics, and biometric identification.
In the last five years, he had undertaken 1 project funded by Key Research Program of NSFC, 6 regular projects of NSFC, 1 project funded by the "Tenth Five-Year Plan” National Key Science and Technology Development Program, three "863" projects, 15 provincial and ministerial projects, and many industry funded projects. The laboratory was awarded 1 special class, 2 first class, 4 second class, and 3 third class Science-Technology Progress Awards at provincial and ministerial levels. He had published two academic books, 168 academic papers. Among those papers, 48 papers are indexed by SCI, 40 are indexed by EI, and 48 are indexed by ISTP. His publications have been cited more than 400 times and he also obtained 1 national invention patent and 4 software copyrights.
Liang Yanchun, male, born in November 1953, Ph.D., doctoral supervisor. He is the deputy director of Institute of Computer Science and Technology of Jilin University, and the Advanced Expert of Jilin Province. He has been awarded Young and Middle-aged Outstanding Specialist of Jilin Province, and the Governmental Subsidy from the State Department of China. He was a visiting scholar in Manchester University of UK from 1990 to 1991, visiting professor in National University of Singapore from 2000 to 2001, guest professor in Institute of High Performance Computing of Singapore from 2002 to 2004, guest professor in Trento University, Italy from 2006 to 2010, and guest professor in Missouri University, USA from 2011 to 2013.
His research interests focus on bioinformatics and computational intelligence, including computational biology, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, and applications of intelligent computational and machine learning methods to combinational optimization, data mining, control of ultrasonic motors, and MEMS modeling.
He had published 4 books and more than 390 papers of which more than 110 indexed by SCI and more than 150 indexed by EI. His publications were cited more than 2,000 times by other scholars. He has been in charge for more than 20 national, provincial, ministerial, and European Commission projects, achieved 8 provincial awards, including 1 special class, 3 first class, and 4 second class scientific and technological progress awards.
Liu Lei, Male, born in 1960, is a full Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, chairman of the academic committee in the College of Computer Science and Technology. His research interests include software formalization, program analysis, programming languages and their implementation techniques, semantic web, etc. He has coordinated and participated in 6 projects granted by "863"High-tech Research and Development Program and National Natural Science Foundation, 4 projects funded by Ministry or Province and 5 collaborative projects. He has been in charge of several projects on teaching reform and high quality courses development. He is the leader of faculties for the course “Compiler Principles” which was awarded the Excellent Course jointly by Ministry of Education and Microsoft, and Excellent Course of Jilin Province. The faculty of “Compiler Principles” is prized as Excellent Teaching Group of Jilin Province. Prof. Liu has published more than 140 research papers in domestic and foreign academic journals as well as top international conferences, and 3 books. He has been awarded as the Best Teacher of Jilin Province, the Model Teacher of Changchun city, one of the best Ten Teachers of Jilin University, the Model Teacher of Jilin University and the Outstanding Teacher of Baosteel.
Li Wenhui, born in 1961, Ph.D., Ph.D. supervisor, studied as a doctoral candidate in BREMEN University of Germany from 1991 to 1994, worked in QianYe Industry University of Japan as visiting professor from 1998 to 1999. He is a member of China System Simulation and Digital Entertainment Professional Committee.
His research interests include computer graphics, image processing, pattern recognition and multimedia techniques. In recent year he leads and participated three "863" projects, one "973" project, four NSFC projects and 6 provincial and ministerial projects. He got remarkable achievements in the field of computer graphics and image processing. He has published about 200 papers in domestic and foreign science and technology journals and international conferences, of which more than 20 papers were indexed by SCI, more than 40 papers were indexed by EI and more than 60 papers were indexed by ISTP. He won the first class of “Scientific and Technical Advancement of National Business”, second prize of the” Scientific and Technical Advancement of State Education Commission”, the third class of “Scientific and Technical Advancement of China Machinery Industry” and the third class of “Science and Technology Progress Awards of Jilin Province”. Up till now, he has published 2 academic books, obtained 1 national invention patent and 6 software copyrights.
Zuo Wanli, male, born in 1957, Ph.D., Ph.D. supervisor. As a senior visiting scholar, he engaged in collaborative research in Louisiana State University (USA) from 1996-1997. He is a member of System Software Committee of China's Computer Federation, the chairman of Educational Committee of College of Computer Science and Technology, eminent contributor of young and middle-aged specialist of Jilin Province, prominent innovationist of Jilin Province. He received outstanding teacher award from Baogang Educational Foundation, model teacher award of Jilin University, exemplary teacher award of Jilin University.
Prof. Zuo's main research area covers database theory, machine learning, data mining Web mining and Web search engines.
As PI he accomplished 2 national NSFC programs, 2 provincial programs. He is currently leading 2 NSFC projects and 1 Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education of China. As a key member, he participated in one Fuk Ying Tung Educational Program and some other application programs. He has published more than 110 papers in important journals and international conferences, 50 of which are cited by SCI/EI/ISTP. He has published 5 books and textbooks. Zhang Changhai, male, born in 1949, professor, Ph.D. supervisor and the model teacher at Jilin University.
He is a member of Computer Education Steering Committee of China Ministry of Education, China Computer Federation (CCF), CCF TCEDU, CCF TCTCS, Chinese College Computer Education Research Board, Chinese Computer Elementary Education Research Board and Jilin Province Computer Academic Society.
His main research interests are program analysis, program theory, compiling techniques, program conversion, intelligent planning etc. He has carried out more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 30 academic papers and obtained 10 provincial and university level teaching awards.
He is the leader of the teaching team for “Computer Programming”. This course was evaluated as national essential course in 2009. He had published 8 textbooks, including 1 21st Century Textbook of the Ministry of Education (“Ninth Five-Year” national planning textbook), 2 “Eleventh Five-Year” national planning textbooks.
Liu Shufen, female, born in 1950, professor, Ph.D. supervisor, director of Key Laboratory of Sea Battlefield Offense-defense Confrontation Simulation of Ministry of Education, director of Key Laboratory of Computer Communications of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, director of Engineering and Research Center of Network Technology and Application software of Jilin Province, director of Science and Technology Innovation Center of Communication Software of Jilin Province, director of Engineering and Technology Research Center of Communication Software Product Line of Jilin Province, member of the Expert Groups for 242 national projects, IEEE committee member, member of Cooperative Computing Committee of CCF. Prof. Liu has been conducting researches on software programming method, computer network and security technology, cooperative computing, computer military simulation technology, femtosecond laser controlling technology, etc.
In recent years,she has led 21 national research projects (including "863" Programs, National key Technologies R&D programs and National Natural Science Foundation projects), 20 province and ministry level projects, 45 national defense projects, 2 international joint projects and more than 20 enterprise joint projects. She has got innovative research results in the areas of domain-specific modeling and component library development, and got important research results in sea battle-field command & control and tactics simulation technology of the defense research area. Some results have been industrialized. In recent years, she has published more than 160 papers in important journals and international conferences, in which 131 has been indexed by SCI and EI. She has written 7 books and textbooks, obtained 5 invention patents and 11 software copyrights. She was granted with the State Council Governmental Subsidy and has received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Implementing "Eleventh Five-Year" National Scientific Plan, Invention & Entrepreneurship Award, 3 first prizes province and ministry awards for science and technology achievements, 2 second prizes and 1 third prize of ministry award for science and technology achievements, and 1 second prize of award for science and technology achievements of Changchun city. She was the advisor of more than 230 postdocs, doctoral students and master students.
Liu Yanheng, male, born in 1958, Ph.D., Ph.D. supervisor and the vice-dean of the College of Software, "Top Creative Talent of Jilin Province", "Professional Skilled Talents of the Young and Middle-aged with Outstanding Contributions in Jilin Province”. He has been visiting scholars to Alberta University in Canada (2005.1-2005.7), Motorola Company in Canada (2000.7-2001.4), the University of British Columbia in Canada (1998.8-1999.8) and University of Hull in England (1988.9-1989.12).
His current research interests include mobile computing network theory and applications, mobile IP technology and QoS mechanism, network management and network security, trustworthy networks and complex networks, wireless sensor networks, key technologies and services of the next generation Internet, etc.
Since 2000, he has led 12 research projects supported by the National Development and Reform Commission (Major Program projects), the Ministry of Science and Technology (Key Program projects), National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Education Ph.D. Programs Foundation, Key Program Projects of Jilin Province Science & Technology Department. Fang Zhiyi, male, born in 1957, Ph.D, Ph.D. supervisor,. He has worked as senior scholars in Queensland University (1995-1996), Australia and UCSB (2000-2001), USA. He is a member of CCF TCOS, a member of China Software Industry Association and one of the "Jilin Province Middle-aged and Young Experts with Special Contributions in Jilin Province".
Prof. Fang's main research interests include distributed computing systems, parallel computing systems and computer architecture. Since 1989, he has led or participated in 22 projects on distributed/parallel computing systems and published 80 papers and 3 books. He obtained 8 awards of science and technology progress of provincial and ministerial level.
Zhao Hongwei, male, born in 1962, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He joined the Computer Software and Theory Postdoctoral Work Station of Jilin University as a post doctor in 2002. He is a member of Simulation Computer and Software committee in Chinese System Simulation Association.
Prof. Zhao's research interests are intelligent information systems, embedded system technology, computer image processing and visual technology.
He has finished two NSFC projects, three national "863" projects, one Postdoctoral Fund project, and nine projects supported by province or ministry governments. He was honored the Mechanical Industry Ministry Excellent Young Teacher Award, and two Jilin Province Science and Technology Progress Awards. In recent years, he has published 52 papers and 8 books, and obtained one patent.
Li Xiongfei, male, born in 1963, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received his bachelor and master's degree in Nanjing University and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1985 respectively. He went to Jilin University and received his Ph.D. degree.
He has been conducting research of database and data mining. His current research interests include the research of semi-structured database theory, data mining and information fusion technology.
He has led four NSFC projects, one National "863" plan project and one National Technology-support project and other ten projects supported by Ministry of Science, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Security. He has published the book "Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery" and more than 120 papers on journals and international conferences. He is in charge of the course construction of "the principle of database" and leads the provincial excellent teaching team and provincial excellent course.
Hu Liang, male, born in 1968, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, is the director of Network Techniques & Software Engineering Center of the Ministry of Education, a standing committee member of Jilin Province CPPCC.
As the project leader, Prof. Hu has finished 30 national, provincial and ministerial research projects. In recent years, he has published more than 190 papers, 8 books, 2 monographs and 1 “Eleventh Five-Year” national planning textbook. He has obtained 4 national innovation patents and 18 software copyrights. He has received 5 first prize, 1 second prize and 4 third prize of provincial and ministerial Science & Technology Progress Awards and 1 second prize of provincial and ministerial Teaching Achievement. He received 1 first prize of the Outstanding Achievements of Universities in Scientific Research by the Minister of Education in 2010 and 1 first prize of the Science & Technology Progress Award of Jilin Province in 2010. The course “Computer Network” that he is in charge with has been awarded with the National Excellent Course Award and Outstanding Teaching Team of Jilin Province. He received the seventh Science & Technology Progress Award for Chinese Youth in 2002, and Jilin Province Top Creative Talents Project in 2004. His research project began to be supported by Jilin Province Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in the same year. He received the prize of Jilin Province Outstanding Young and Middle-Aged Professional and Technical Personnel and the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2006. He received Citigroup research grants in 2009, Bao Steel Outstanding Teacher Award in 2010 and Zhong Chuang Software Talent Award in 2011.
Ouyang Dantong, female, born in 1968, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. She is a member of the Subject Appraisement Group of the Degree-Assignment Committee of the National State Department. She is a member of Theoretical Computer Science Committee of China Computer Federation (CCF), a member of the CCF Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee. She is in the new century excellent talent program of Chinese Ministry of Education,the first batch of innovative talents in Jilin Province, ten Outstanding Young Persons in Jilin University, editor of Chinese Journal of Computers and editor of Journal of Jilin University (Science Edition).
Her research interests include model-based diagnosis, automated reasoning and model checking etc.
She has carried out sixteen national and provincial projects, including two NSFC projects, two "863" projects, one Postdoctoral Science Foundation, two Chinese National High Technology Research and Development Plan projects.
She has published more than 150 papers in key journals and leading international conference proceedings.
She has won a number of prizes, including 1st prize of the Provincial S&T progress three times, 2nd prize of the Provincial S&T progress, 2nd prize for Outstanding Teaching Achievements by Jilin Province, 1st prize for Excellent Teaching Material of Provincial College, 1st prize of the Excellent Teaching Materials of Province Education Commission. Qin Guihe, male, born in 1962, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He worked in the University of Arizona as a visiting scholar from 1999 to 2000, and KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) as a visiting researcher from 2001 to 2002.
His research interests include embedded systems, real-time systems, intelligent control and automotive electronic technology.
He finished more than 40 research projects, obtained 5 scientific and technological awards, and published more than 100 papers and 3 books.
Ouyang Jihong, female, born in 1964, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor and the Vice-Dean of College of Computer Science and Technology in Jilin University. She is a member of Committee of Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition of the Computer Science Academy in China, editor of Journal of Jilin University(Information Edition); a member of the Changchun City CPPCCC, a standing committee member of the China Democratic League, a committee member of the Jilin University Democratic League. As a visiting scholar, she engaged in collaborative research in New Mexico University (USA) from 2001-2002.
Her research interests mainly include Knowledge Engineering, Spatio-Temporal Reasoning, Data Mining, Data Structure and Algorithm.
She has led 1 National "863" High-tech R&D project, 1 NSFC project, 1 project funded by the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province and 2 project funded by the Department of Environmental Protection of Jilin University. As a key member, she has participated in 18 projects, including 4 "863" High-tech R&D projects, 4 NSFC Research Program projects, 1 EU project and 2 projects of Jilin Province Science and Technology Developing Plans. Xu Gaochao, male, was born in 1966, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received his BSc, MSc and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Jilin University, China in 1988, 1991 and 1995 respectively. From 1998.6 to 2000.6, he joined the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong as a senior research fellow.
His research interests include computer networks, distributed systems, distributed and parallel computing.
As the leader and main contributor, he has finished 15 national or provincial scientific research projects. He has published over 60 SCI-indexed or EI-indexed papers in journals, conferences, and book chapters.
Shen XuanJing, male,born in 1958, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1982, 1984 and 1990. He has been engaged in education and research on the computer science and technology since 1984. From 1996 to 1998, He worked as a visiting scholar at PoHang University of Technology (Korea).
His research interests are Multimedia technology, computer image processing, Opt-electronic hybrid system, Intelligent measurement systems, etc.
He has been in charge of or participated in ten projects funded by "863" High-tech R&D projects or provincial and ministerial organizations, and published about 8 books and 60 papers in journals and international conferences, of which 20 papers were indexed by SCI, EI or ISTP.
Liu Yuanning, male, born in 1962, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received the B.S. (1984) and M.S. (1988) in Computer Application in Jilin University of Technology, and Ph.D. (2004) in Communication and Information Systems in Jilin University, and finished his post doctoral research in Vienna University of Austria(2007). Now, he is the member of several international academic conferences program committee, and he is the evaluation expert of National Electronic Development Fund Project.
His research interests include bioinformatics, pattern identification, image processing, automobile pervasive computing, spam behavior identification technology and PDM.
He has carried out 4 national projects, 6 provincial and ministerial projects and some other enterprise joint projects. He was awarded 2 first prizes and 1 third prize of scientific and technological awards at provincial and ministerial levels. He also obtained 3 national patents. He published more than 40 papers and 1 book.
Yang Yongjian, male, born in 1960, Ph.D, Professor and Ph.D. supervisor. He is the vice dean of the College of Software of Jilin University, the director of the Key Laboratory of Computer Communication of the Ministry of Information Industry, executive members of council of Jilin Computer Federation, member of the Software Engineering Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. As a visiting scholar, he worked in CISCIO Corp. in 1997.
His research interests include theory and software technology of network intelligence management;key technology research of wireless mobile communication and services; research and exploiture for next generation services foundation and key productions on wireless mobile communication; wireless sensor network and IOT; protocol, model and primary technology of next generation network (NGN).
He participated 3 projects of NSFC, "863" and funded by National Education Ministry for Doctoral Base Foundation. He has carried out 12 projects supported by NSFC, Special Research Fund for Doctoral Program (SRFDP), Science and Technology Developing Funds for Middle-aged and Young Researchers,and other provincial and ministerial programs. Yu Zhezhou, born in July 1961, Ph.D., Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor. He was gratitude from the Computer System Architecture of Jilin University in 1982. His research interests mainly include embedded systems and technology. He has taken part in the developments of the Laser printer, Laser image setter, Medical camera and Ballistic camera. He has taken part in 3 NSFC projects and 7 other provincial and ministerial projects. Now he is working on the human action recognition and face recognition technology, and he leads two provincial/ministerial projects: "the software development of Content retrieval based network monitoring mobile decision", "research on group behavior recognition technology"; one Special Research Fund for Doctoral Program (SRFDP) project "research on efficient algorithms of group behavior recognition and understand technology in complex environment"; one joint research project "attendance machine based on face recognition". He has published 25 journal papers that indexed by SCI/EI in the past three years. He is also the editorial board member of the Journal of Jilin University (Science Edition) and the committee and expert group member of Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition Organization of Jilin Province.
Xu Zhiwen, male, born in 1965, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Jilin University. He is the member of multimedia committee of China Computer Federation and China Image Federation. He worked in the University of Georgia as a visiting scholar in 2006. His research interests are networking multimedia, computer graphics, animation and network game, virtual reality, image processing and bioinformatics. He carried out 1 National "973" project, 5 NSFC projects and 7 other provincial/ministry projects. He has published 2 books and more than 60 papers including 14 indexed by SCI and more than 30 indexed by EI and ISTP.
Lu Yinan, female, born in 1969, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. She received B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Jilin University in 1991, 1994 and 2002. Since 1994, she has been engaged in education and research on computer science and technology. She worked as a visiting scholar at Birkbeck College, London University in U.K. (2000-2001) and Waterloo University in Canada (2006-2007).
Her research interests include image processing, virtual reality, intelligent information processing, and bioinformatics.
She has lead 6 national/provincial projects and participated in 4. As a key member, she has been awarded two 1st prizes for Science and Technological Progress Award of Jilin Province and holding 1 software copyright. She has published more than 40 papers in journals, conferences, among which about 20 papers were indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP.
Xiaohui Wei, born in 1972, is a professor in the College of Computer Science and Technology (CCST) at Jilin University. He is the dean of CCST and the director of Jilin University HPC Center. Prof. Wei serves as expert group member of the ChinaGrid project of the Chinese Ministry of Education; steering committee member of the Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly (PRAGMA); general director of the Jilin Province Computer Federation; president of China Computer Federation (CCF) Changchun sub-forum; member of TCHPC and TCEDU of CCF; member of YOUCEF. Prof. Wei's research interests include distributed computing, network security and fault-tolerant computing. During 1999 to 2004, he was invited by Dr. Songnian Zhou and worked as a senior engineer at the Platform Computing Inc. in Toronto, Canada. He was in charge of the core architectural design and developing of LSF (Load Share Facility). He was a visiting scholar at University of California at San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) in 2005.
Since 1993, as the project leader and co-investor, Prof. Wei has accomplished sixteen projects sponsored by NSFC, "863", "973" and Jilin Province. He holds one American patent and has published more than 40 papers in journals and conferences, two books and one textbook. He has won a number of prizes from the Chinese government, which include a first prize and a second prize of Jilin Province Award for Science and Technology Progress, a first prize of National Award of Technology Innovation in Service Industry, Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, and the Excellent Young Scholar Fund of Jilin Province.
Wang Shengsheng, male, born in 1974, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Jilin University in 2003. From 2004 to 2007, as a postdoctoral researcher at the Mathematics Institute of Jilin University. From 2009 to 2010, as a postdoctoral researcher at NCGIA (a national lab of US) in the University of Maine. His research interests include spatio-temporal reasoning, computer vision and pattern recognition. He published more than 70 papers including more than 10 indexed by SCI, more than 50 indexed by EI. Some papers are published on top journals such as Information Science, Knowledge based System etc. His works were cited by Information Science, Science China, IEEE Internet Computing etc. for more than 30 times. From 2007, he has been in charge of more than ten research projects including NSFC project, Major Program of Science and Technology Development Plan of Jilin Province, Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars from State Education Ministry. As a key member, he has accomplished more than ten National "863" Projects and (Major) NSFC projects. He has received 1st prize of Science & Technology Progress Award of Jilin Province for twice, 2nd prize for once and 3rd prize for once. He serves as editor of Journal on Knowledge and Data Engineering and reviewer of Knowledge Based System, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture and Journal of Software etc.
Yang Bo, male, born in 1974, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. He received his bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in Jilin University in 1997, 2000 and 2003 respectively. He continued his postdoctoral research in the department of computer science, Hong Kong Baptist University (2005), and the department of computer science, Warwick University in UK (2007). He was employed by Jilin University as a professor in 2008 and a Ph.D. supervisor in 2010. He obtained the support of Chinese Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2011. He is currently the director of the Key Laboratory of Symbolic Computation and Knowledge Engineering of Ministry of Education. He serves a member of the Knowledge Engineering and Distributed Intelligent Technical Committee of CAAI, a member of CCF TCAIPR, the director of Jilin Province Computer Federation. He has served as the PC member of several international and Chinese conferences. He serves on the editorial board of “International Journal of Web Intelligence and Agent Systems”, and he has served as the PC members of several international conferences including "IEEE Intelligent Systems, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TSMC, Social Networks, Journal of Software and so on.
His recent research interests include complex/social network analysis, self-organized and self-adaptive multi-agent system, large-scale data mining and their applications on Web/social/biological networks. As principal investigator and co-investigator, he has completed 15 scientific research projects and 6 educational research projects, such as “863”projects and NSFC projects. He has been awarded by 2 1st-class and 1 2nd-class Jilin Province Scientific & Technological Progress Prizes, 1 2nd-class National Education Prize, and 2 1st-class Jilin Province Education Prize, respectively. He has coauthored two textbooks published by Chinese Higher Education Press and two research books published by Springer Press. He has published over 80 research papers on leading international journals and conferences including IEEE TKDE, IEEE TSMC, ACM TWEB, AAMAS, KDE, IJCAI, WI, PAKDD, more than 20 of which being indexed by SCI. As the first author, his works have been published in some well-credited international journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering, Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, ACM Transactions on the Web, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics(Part B), IJCAI, PAKDD and WI. His papers were cited more than 500 times.
Jin Ying, female, born in January 1971, PhD, Professor, supervisor of PhD candidates, National Excellent Talent of the New Century from the Ministry of Education. From 2003 to 2004 Prof. JIN Ying worked as Senior Researcher in Software Quality Research Laboratory (SL) at University of Limerick in Ireland, which was led by world-famous Software Engineering Expert Prof. David Parnas. From 2006 to 2008 she was hired as a consultant for SL. She is member of Technical Committees of Software Engineering and System Software, China Computer Federation.
Her research interests focus on software engineering, computer software and its theoretical foundation, mainly including requirements engineering, software security assurance, formal methods, embedded software development, software analysis and verification, programming languages and their implementation techniques.
As PI and Co-PI Prof. JIN Ying has been undertaking or accomplished more than 10 projects, granted by national "863" Hi-tech Research and Development program, National Science Foundation China, provincial / ministerial foundations and other sources. She has published more than 40 papers, and 4 books. The works that she participated as main investigator, were awarded the first prize for 2010 National Commercial Science and Technology Award bestowed by China General Chamber of Commerce, Excellent Course jointly by Ministry of Education and Microsoft, 2nd prize for Excellent Teaching Material of Provincial College, best high education textbooks by Education Ministry. The teaching team was honored as "Best Teaching Team at Jilin Province" in 2009. She was supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2010.
LI Ying, female, born in April 1965, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor. Currently, she is the director of the Department of Space Information Processing, Jilin University.
Her research interests focus on computer graphics, image processing and pattern recognition, computer-aided design, multimedia technology, computer vision; detail contents information of science and technology which including collection of spatial data, measurement, analysis, storage, management and application; oilfield multidimensional information and mass storage technology of digital earth, multimedia database technology, data warehouse and data mining, spatial data modeling and simulation; cross-application between geoscience and computer science, achieved outstanding results. As a project leader, she has carried out national scientific research projects such as "The Mineralization Forecast Research of The Altai Mine", "Integrated Processing of Multi-source Information Based on GIS", "Stability Evaluation System of Geological Disasters", "The Construction of National Oil and Gas Resources Database System". She completed more than 20 provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, published more than 30 papers and 2 books.
Che Xiangjiu, male, born in September 1969, Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor. In December 2003, he graduated from Jilin University and received his Ph.D., and later joined Computer Graphics and Digital Media Lab, College of Computer Science and Technology. He was promoted to professor in September 2006, then in June 2012 to doctoral supervisor.
From February 2005 to October 2007, he worked as a postdoctoral at postdoctoral mobile research station of computer software and theory, Jilin University; From October 2007 to October 2008, he was a visiting scholar at Arizona State University, USA. His supervisor was Professor G. Farin, the vice-dean of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Arizona State University. At that time, he and Professor G. Farin jointly engaged in the collaborative research project on the smooth surface reconstruction in reverse engineering. At present, he is a member of CAD/CG professional committee, China Computer Federation; a member of Geometric Design and Computing professional committee, China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics; an editor of Computer Aided Drafting, Design and Manufacturing journal; the Secretary-General of Jilin Province Computer Federation. He served as program committee member for some computer graphics-related international and domestic conferences.
The research work is mainly engaged in visualization computing and analysis, surface modeling and 3D reconstruction, network media technology etc. For the multiresolution management and grid modeling for big data in medical science and geologic science, volume rendering and visualization analysis etc., he has been paid more attention on the above research work. He has published more than thirty papers, including five SCI indexed papers, fifteen EI indexed papers. The representative papers were published in the International Journal of Computer Aided Geometric Design, and International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems.
In recent years, as project director or main member, he has undertaken 7 projects including key program, general programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the provincial and ministerial programs. At present, he is the project director of the following two projects, one is a general program of National Natural Science Foundation of China; the other is "deep exploration technology and experimental research project" SinoProbe09-01"mobile platform of geophysical data processing and integration", Ministry of Land and Resources.
Huang Lan, female, born in April 1974, Ph.D., Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, is the vice dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology of Jilin University. She is also the leader of "JAVA Programming" and "Electronic Commerce" courses.
Prof. Huang is mainly engaged in business intelligence theory and application research. She was the outstanding youth project funding winners of Jilin province (in 2005), and awarded the Young and Middle-aged Leader and Innovation Team of Jilin province (in 2012). She is the Director of the Engineering Laboratory of Electronic Commerce of Jilin Province (from 2013). She was invited to Italy Trento University as a senior visitor (in 2010). As PI and Co-PI, Prof. Huang Lan has carried out 10 teaching and scientific research projects, such as "863" Hi-tech Research and Development program, National Science Foundation of China and other provincial/ministerial projects. The works that she participated as main investigator, were awarded the first prize for National Commercial Science and Technology Award bestowed by China General Chamber of Commerce (the first prizewinner in 2010), the second prize for Jilin Province Scientific and Technological Progress Award (first prizewinner in 2011), the second prize for National Commercial Science and Technology Award (forth prizewinner in 2007, sixth prizewinner in 2004), the second prize for Jilin Province Scientific and Technological Progress Award (forth prizewinner in 2004), and the second prize of Jilin Province Teaching Achievements (second prizewinner in 2005). In recent years, her research interests focus on business intelligence application and social network mining algorithm. She has published 64 academic papers, and obtained 7 software copyrights. The software results researched and developed by her team have brought good economic benefit for the cooperative companies.
