National Computer High Education Summit Forum (2015) was held in JLU in August. Participants were more than 200 experts and teachers from universities and colleges in China.
Pro. Li Lian from Hefei University of Technology, director of National High Education Computer Studies Teaching Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education, Pro. Han Xiaofeng, vice president of JLU, Pro. Zong Junfeng, director of Tsinghua University Press, Pro. Jiang Zongli, a prominent educator from Beijing University of Technology and deputy director of National High Education Computer-related Studies Teaching Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education, Pro. Du Xiaoyong, dean of School of Information, Renmin University of China and deputy director of National High Education Computer Studies Teaching Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education, Pro. Hu Liang, director of Department of Academic Affairs of JLU, Pro. Sun Maosong, Secretary, the Committee of the Communist Party of Computer Department of Tsinghua Univesity and Pro. Li Fengxia from Beijing Institute of Technology and deputy director of National High Education Computer-related Studies Teaching Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Pro. Wei Xiaohui, dean of CCST, JLU. Li Lian, Han and Zong made speeches at the ceremony.
Seven lectures were presented, of which were Computational Thinking from the Perspective of Methodology by Li Lian, Explanation on National Criteria of Teaching Quality for Computer-related Majors by Jiang Zongli, Computer Fundamental Education Reform in the Context of Internet Plus by Du Xiaoyong, MOOC: Perspective, Practice and Education Reform by Sun Maosong, Introduction to izhixue (http://www.izhixue.com.cn/) and Its Operation by Yang Zhujun from Tsinghua University Press, To promote Computer High Education Reform, Taking Computational Thinking as a Starting Point by Li Fengxia and Construction and Reflection of Internet of Things as a Major by Pro. Hu Chengquan from JLU.
Discussions were made about computer studies and computer fundamental education in the forum, which built a platform for high education teachers to communicate in order to improve the teaching quality under the advisory council.
