The 39^th ACM-ICPC at Mudanjiang, Asia was held in Mudanjiang Normal University, October 11-12, 2014. 154 teams from 91 universities participated in the competition. The champion went to the team composed by Tang Jiaming and Chen Haimin from CCST and Yao Shan from College of Software, who were the first to solve seven problems, with JLU taking the 1st place at this regional competition. Tsinghua University and Beijing Institute of Technology took 2^nd and 3^rd place respectively. University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and other 30 teams received silvers and Tianjin Polytechnic University and 49 others bronzes. The other team of JLU composed of Jiang Xinyang, Wang Tianxin and Guo Lanzhe took the 35^th place, receiving silvers.

There were 18 stations in Asia region of ACM-ICPC, among which were Mudanjiang, Anshan, Xi’an, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai in China mainland, sponsored by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, huanle.com and iqiyi.com.

This is the first champion of JLU ever made in Asia region competition, leading it to finals in Morocco in May, 2015, the second time to enter the finals. The performance of the participants of JLU promotes the reputation of CCST among other universities and in IT fields.
