报告人简介：Adriano Tavares is Associate Professor at University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Industrial Electronics from University of Minho, a Master of Science in Information Technology and an undergraduate degree in Informatics both from University of Coimbra. Dr. Tavares main research interests are embedded and CPS/IoT-based systems modeling and design, system software design, system-on-chip design and engineering education. He is currently teaching embedded and real-time systems modeling and design, compiler design, system-on-chip design, real-time operating system design, and advanced computer architectures courses at University of Minho.
讲座摘要： Currently, we’re entering the Internet of Things (IoT)-age with IoT-systems consisting of several disparate, siloed vertical systems which in the near future will all be connected at cloud. Such interconnectedness in the IoT at thing- and cloud-level is raising an increased sharing in amount and type of valuable data, and so, demanding special focus on (1) the technology stack which holistically rethink security and privacy from the ground up and (2) hardware to act as the “root of trust”. Such an IoT technology stack must leverage the 3C (Computing, Control and Communication)- and 3S (Scalability, Security and Safety)-convergences by carrying out several steps which would be introduced in this report.
