The demand for analytics at scale is synonymous with the demand for the assembly of complex hybrid data processing architectures. What is the backdrop of these demands and why is it so prevalent in almost every medium and large sized company? This seminar will focus on critical drivers that have shaped the modern data processing landscape. Traditional concepts around data warehousing and big data platforms are being rapidly torn down and reassembled into a more dynamic, pervasive, and semantic driven ecosystem. The seminar will focus on techniques that are foundational to this transformation and how these techniques can be applied at scale.

Paul Melanson是PointClickCare公司的工程、商务智能和分析总监，这是一家基于SaaS（软件即服务）的软件公司，主要从事北美的长期急性护理。Melanson先生在跨行业垂直领域（零售，电信，金融，市场营销，医疗保健）拥有超过二十年的商务智能领域经验。除了十多年的执行管理经验外，Melanson先生还在实时应用程序开发，统计模型算法设计与开发，元数据管理解决方案，数据库引擎设计与开发以及企业数据仓库架构设计与开发等领域担任应用程序开发人员/建模人员/架构师十余年。
